This is some of that Peter Hollens and Tim Foust magic. If you enjoyed the Lord of the Rings movies, you’ll probably enjoy this. You might also enjoy the costumes. Again, that is a Peter Hollens strong point. In This one, Tim Foust is able to use the power of his deep voice and Peter is free to counterpoint with his tenor. However, in the background, Peter shows off a bit of baritone, as well.
Great voices; but I’m not a Tolkien/Lord of the Rings fan.
I love the richness of Tim’s bass voice.
wow.
I had not heard this (I am a huge Tolkien fan). I am awestruck with this rendition of the Misty Mountains!
I can understand that. Tim’s voice seems perfect for the song. Peter’s counterpoint is also masterful.
This song, which is one my of my all time favorites, conjures up dwarves and ancient gold.
What a great blending of voices!!
I agree entirely. The first time I heard this one, I thought of Dwarves. Peter sounds more like a Hobbit. 😀
smash the dishes, bend the forks that’s what Bilbo Baggins hates! He really does have the voice of an angel!
Never saw that movie however I ,’ll try to watch, good video song
It is a really good movie that was well received worldwide and it did a good job of following the books. The trilogy is three long movies, though.
Never saw the movies or heard this but great music and voices.
Lord of the Rings was one of the really big money makers. There were three movies in the trilogy, plus the Hobbit, plus a longer movie that they broke into two parts because it was so long. It had a worldwide audience. In fact, a lot of it was filmed in New Zealand.
I forgot to mention that the stories were written by JRR Tolkien.
Have not heard this before. Great voices.
Peter had a lot of requests to do something from Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit, so he did some. Tim really looks the part, too, with his long hair.
Nice post,thanks for sharing.
I’m glad that you liked it.
