Here’s another hidden puzzle for you.
Hidden in these sentences are names of animals. The sentences are not clues to be solved but you have to look at the words carefully to discover the name of an animal hidden within them.
Discover the names and post them in comments but do not look at the answers submitted by other people before trying on your own.
As a challenge try to post one puzzle sentence with a hidden animal for the next person to solve.
- There was naked hunger in the boy’s eyes.
- We stopped at the cafe for a sip and a bite.
- I gifted a vase to Ali on his birthday.
- I found Megan to be a very naughty girl
- The secretary briefed him on key points.
- Cathy enacted her role to perfection.
- This metal, if oxidized can be useful.
- I congratulated her on her engagement.
- Do you want to wash or see the sights first?
- We listened on mic a melody so fine.
Good luck!
Got a headache and an eye strain?
I am so sorry. It was supposed to be fun, not a strain 🙁
Don’t feel bad I’m just kidding. Just don’t know the answers obviously that’s why I exaggerate my comment. It doesn’t mean anything. Keep creating it, it makes pur brain cells work. Keep it up
The answers are easy to find once you know how to look for them.
This metal, if oxidised….can you see FOX in if oxidised?
In another sentence, …..briefed him on key points……can you see MONKEY hidden?
I will try to focus next time?
Oh, I love that moment of epiphany when the hidden word suddenly becomes visible! I can’t overstate how much I am enjoying these puzzles, Dawn 🙂
snake panda lion beaver monkey hyena fox heron horse camel – Funny that Carol found a bonus animal you didn’t even mean to hide!!
Now, following my earlier precedent, here’s a sentence with THREE animals hiding within. Can you see past the camouflage?
:::::: When I told Mariko a lame anti-German joke, she responded gruffly ::::::
I can see more than three….hen, koala, ant and tiger…It would be fun if you and Carol also create hidden puzzles on themes of your choice.
More bonuses! I didn’t intend either hen or ant, so there’s one more waiting to be discovered 🙂
I think this particular format is now strongly associated with you. For the moment, at least, I’d prefer not to steal your style 🙂
Impressive quiz.
Too difficult to understand the language
It’s very tough for me , I’m not good in puzzles
I don’t think I could figure them out, but I think this is a great idea!
It does seem a bit complicated at first but once you know the trick, it becomes easy. For example, look at this sentence: We stopped at the cafe for a sip and a bite.
If you look carefully you will find PANDA in words …sip and a..Look again at the sentences and see if you can find the animals now listed by Carol.
Yes, I see the panda now that you explained it. That’s very cool! I’ll have to see if I can find the others now.
Do check out all the hidden puzzles. So far, I have posted animals, countries and fruits. And more will be posted soon. Good luck. 🙂
1. snake
2. panda
3. lion
4. beaver
5. monkey
6. hyena
7. fox
8. rat
9. horse
10. camel
I have a headache now. 🙂
Oh I am so sorry about the headache. All rightly guessed but number 8 is not what I intended. Rat is also there but not the one I had hidden. Hope you feel better soon ?
Thanks, I love these puzzles and because of the headache it tells me I need to do more brain work! 🙂 Thanks Dawn.
Should #8 be a heron?
