This is my lunch from yesterday. Traditional meal in Bulgaria. It is without meat. The products are eye-catching. And they are:
- 1 medium sized carrot
- 3 or 4 cloves of garlic
- 4 or 5 medium-sized cultivated mushrooms
- 1 cup of rice
- parsley
- salt
All vegetables are fried. Finally add rice for about 5 minutes. Then pour half a cup of water. The mixture boils until the rice is semi-cooked. Sprinkle with chopped parsley. The peppers are filled with the resulting mixture. Put them in a pan and pour over half of the pepper with water. Place in preheated oven at 220 degrees. Then bake for 30 minutes with reduced degrees of 180 degrees.
For the white dressing sauce you need: 1 egg to be crushed, then 2 tbsp yoghurt. Again, crush and add 1 tablespoon of flour. This homogeneous mixture is diluted with the water left in the pan with the peppers. Heat the heat until slightly thickened. Sprinkle with a little chopped parsley and pour the baked peppers.

hank you!!! waw … how hungry you made me, I’ll probably try! I usually do stuffing with minced meat, I think you know, like in sarmale. minced meat, onion, rice, broth, salt, pepper, sweet pepper, hot pepper, a little thyme ….
That sounds delicious thanks Elenka
Sounds delicious Elenka. We use green bell peppers stuffed with meat but I like your idea!
I just made stuffed pablano peppers yesterday. Similar to this recipe, but I am a meat eater, I added beef and then topped with cheese. I will surely try your recipe, it looks so good and easy.
And your recipe will certainly be very successful.
