I am always amazed by his music.
This one comes from his iconic, Songs in the key of life album.
Released in 1975. I remember this one because we would listen to this as we detassled corn that summer of 75.
Detassling corn, means you ride in a huge machine, that has arms with baskets hanging off of the arms (ever wonder why corn-rows are a certain distance apart? it so the basket for the detassler fits through!).
This album was blaring from the speakers that were next to the driver.

?It’s that love’s in need of love today
Don’t delay, send yours in right away
Hate’s goin’ round, breaking many hearts
Stop it please, before it’s gone too far?
I would say it is as relevant today as it was in 1975. And hey, sorry, I am quite behind you and Brenda’s posts. Our wifi had trouble for days.
hey you know my rule. there is no quid pro quo (sorry couldn’t help that). I love your posts!
I love many of his songs but this one I had not heard before. Thank you for sharing.
the funny thing is this one never got the air play the others did.
Steve is the best singer and composer for me.
i love his stuff, been listening for years!
Stevie Wonder is one of the best song makers of all time. His writing credits is unreal. He wrote all of the songs that he sung plus at least one song for Smokey Robinson, Elton John, Michael Jackson, and Vanessa Williams.
he is a musical gift to the world!
That is a very interesting memory and I have never seen that done.
I’ve grown several sweetcorn and its been great to have lived off our garden but only hand done.
we used to ride down those long lines of corn detassling.
