Today I failed to fulfill my promise to meet a friend in the place we had agreed upon. What can I do if traffic jam, again and again, locks me on the road?
We have a term in Jakarta, “rat route”, is a small road outside the main roads that can connect between highways. But because everyone has the same idea, then that’s the way it is!
I was “lucky” because when I contacted, the friend also had the same obstacles that we were able to meet later.
What would you do if you could not fulfill your promise because of such a thing?
All my dear friends, if you interested in this challenge, here are the rules and guidelines to join.
I don’t like breaking promises as well. Traffic is circumstances beyond your control.
Yeah, you are right, Della.
We can not always control some things. I would apologize and ask for another appointment.
Yeah! That’s what I do today… Thanks, my friend!
Traffic jams can cause many bad things to happen. Safe travels my friend!
Do my best, LaJenna, Thanks a lot!
Traffic can be a frustrating predicament but one we cannot change. Plans have to be changed sometimes.
Right, Carol. I often leave much earlier than expected travel time to overcome the possibility, but still unexpected things can happen. The problem is that if the appointment point is in the place of people who just waiting at their headquarters, they often find it difficult to understand or don’t want to understand.
I understand completely. I was late for an appointment yesterday and had to be rescheduled due to traffic.
Unfortunately not everyone behaves like you, Carol. Thank you for your understanding!
Patience is a virtue I have had to learn the hard way!
I must say that I totally agree with your opinion!
