Peppadew Season – 365 Photos Challenge #95

Peppadews is one of those delicacies that can be enjoyed with most foods. Either in a salad, on a sandwich or adding that extra flavor to a stew.

In our back garden we have quite a few of these and thanks to the lovely rain we had the past two months the peppadew plants are carrying nice big ones and tasty as ever.

Anyone can pick up the 365 Photos Challenge. Just take your camera and start joining in the fun. Don’t forget to read the Rules and Guidelines to see how it works.

  1. Its shape is what I miss, but it looks like a paprika or a large chili, which we use here in Venezuela particularly for stews and fish soups. The paprika is also eaten in salad or stuffing

    • What’s interesting to me is all the different names. Haven’t tried it in fish soup yet. Will have to try that.

      • For the fish soup we put one that we call “chili” that gives the fish soup or “sancocho” a particularly delicious flavor. It is also special for stewing salted fish or dried fish.
