Peppadews is one of those delicacies that can be enjoyed with most foods. Either in a salad, on a sandwich or adding that extra flavor to a stew.
In our back garden we have quite a few of these and thanks to the lovely rain we had the past two months the peppadew plants are carrying nice big ones and tasty as ever.

I have not heard of this spice yet
Now that looks like a bell, pepper. 🙂 great shot!!
Thank you very much Doc. It tasted fantastic as well lol
I love bell peppers they are crisp and zippy!
Its shape is what I miss, but it looks like a paprika or a large chili, which we use here in Venezuela particularly for stews and fish soups. The paprika is also eaten in salad or stuffing
What’s interesting to me is all the different names. Haven’t tried it in fish soup yet. Will have to try that.
For the fish soup we put one that we call “chili” that gives the fish soup or “sancocho” a particularly delicious flavor. It is also special for stewing salted fish or dried fish.
How unique is this! Thank you Della for sharing with us.
Thank you Carol. It looked so pretty I just had to
I have never seen the original form like this…
But it has never tasted it either… Hehehe…
You have to try it sometime Albert. It goes well with salads
Sounds like I must try it!!!!!!!!!! Great post!
Thank you so much my friend.
I like paprika fresh, stuffed with meat, cheese
That sounds interesting. Will have to try that
