All Romanian people celebrate today the day that changed our history, The Great Union. It has been almost one century since the over 100,000 people gathered in Alba Iulia decided that Romania can not be without Transylvania. 1 December is the feast of a fulfilled dream, the dream of the Romanians to join for eternitythe
Events dedicated to the National Day of Romania also took place in my town.
I took this photo during the ceremony of laying wreaths at the monument of our heroes.

What a beautiful and touching photo! It reminds me of how Remembrance Day is celebrated in Canada. Our symbol of remembrance is the red poppy of Flanders and so all the flowers that day are poppies. The laying of wreaths at the cenotaph looks very similar to what I see in your photo.
Nice photo of your country’s special day, Ileana!
11 days and still going pretty strong judging by your choice of photo to be featured here. Very interesting information
