I am continuing with the 365 Photos Challenge and I am now on Day 94.
Spring is not here yet. But the last few days we have had a lot of rain and warm temperatures. The flowers think it’s springtime. I woke up to these pretty yellow Daffodils in my backyard. They are always the first ones to bloom. We do have more cold weather to come but these are very hardy plants and they should be just fine. They are so easy to grow. You can buy them as bulbs and plant them 2-3 weeks before the ground freezes. But I was given several of these in a bunch last year. I planted them like any other plant. I had a few blooms. At the end of summer I cut them all back to the ground. And now they are back! Great thing about perennials. They always come back.
I wandered lonely as a cloud…That floats on high o’er vales and hills…When all at once I saw a crowd…A host, of golden daffodils…Beside the lake, beneath the trees…Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. ~William Wordsworth
Love daffodils. We have a Daffodil day to raise money for cancer research in our spring
I do too Pamela, they re like sunshine. And what a great thing you do for cancer!
You got Daffs! Already? I have to go look! Nope, not yet, not even crocus, lots of snow, though…A beauty!
We are having roller coaster weather. Warm then cold, rain then who knows!
Yay, spring sprung! I saw some as well last week. Great shot.
