I wrote about these five buffalo neighbors awhile back. I went to visit them again yesterday in hopes of getting more photos. They had a different idea. I stood and watched them a few minutes from behind the fence. Hoping they would get used to me. But they decided to just walk away.

Oh well I guess they were not interested in a photo op. So I got the back of them, tails swishing as they turned and walked the other way. It was still good to see them just the same. I will continue visiting as long as they will allow. They do make good neighbors. I never know if they are home or not. They make no noise and clean up after themselves. What more could you ask for.
365 Photos Challenge Day 188
They are massive animals.
What a great capture Carol. I do have to admit, when I read the title I thought you had moved to upstate New York, but quickly realized it was wildlife instead 🙂
Oh that is funny Doc. No, I will never move that far north. 🙂
Be thankful that they don’t make noise. Most often, Bison only make noise when they are breeding or angry. The latter would naturally apply to puny human beings (to them).
Yikes I am thankful Rex. They are so cool to just watch from a distance.
I agree. I could easily and happily spend a full day at the National Bison Range, just watching them.
They are so amazing, so much around us to enjoy. More people need to unplug and enjoy!
Oh, I guess they were busy, hehe. Wonderful capture!!
Busy eating the grass. Thanks Ellie.
That’s great, thank you for sharing!!
Yes they do make great neighbors. 🙂
Maybe next time take them some flowers when the sun sets.
What a good idea Bradley, I should have thought about that! 🙂
They are like a stage dancer who is dancing for you!
Ha That is too funny Albert. 🙂 Thanks for the smiles.
I immediately caught the impression when I saw your photo, it was like the Broadway dancers. Ha ha ha…
We all need a laugh and I thank you for that.
Pleasure is mine, Carol. Cheers.
waoo pretty nice post and image also!!
Thanks and good to see you!
Yeah! Welcome My Friend.. I’m Too Good To See You!
beautiful photo, I suppose it was a wonderful experience, I did not have the opportunity to meet them
Thanks yes I love walking over to visit them.
Sounds like good pets to me lol lol
Not a pet but I can watch from a distance.
Whether they are livestock or were not interested in you. When you need to capture an animal, it opposes the pose!
Exactly. I got great shots the last time I visited but not today.
