For today’s post in the challenge I thought I would share another photograph of Eli.
This was taken at a restaurant in a town nearby called the Black Bear Diner. In the photo he was having fun coloring a picture that they gave him to color while we waited for our food.
I also wanted to share an update about my health.
I have been trying to post an update under the story section, but I have trouble adding the cover photo. So for now, I’ll just share the update here.
Last I reported I was doing great and got my a1c down to 6.2. The past 2 months have been tough and I am sure my a1c is back up (in the 7’s at least, if not 8).
I have a trouble with consistency and sticking to the low carb way of eating. I know I do so much better on it, but carbs are so tasty.
My plan is to fully commit back to low carb (or Keto) once the fourth of July is over. How can I be on that diet with all the food booths, and such during the week of the 4th.

I love this happy shot. Mine is uncontrolled right now at 12. Having probs with the new insulin. Ugh. Good luck and stick to it kiddo.

I am sorry to hear that yours is uncontrolled…it can be really difficult! I’m fine as long as I eat low carb…..but that’s hard to stick to. Hopefully you can find what works with your insulin….or a better one….I was only on insulin when pregnant with Eli, so not really familiar with using it….
Hey, I was having the same problem trying to post in the STORY section for not being able to post a photo,. If you want not to fight so hard giving up carbs. Try Attain products from Melalueca or extend bars from Walmart. They help with the craving. Thee attain work better but they are very expensive but worth the cost.
Yeah, not sure what is going on with the story section not working right! Sorry you’re having problems with it too. Another thing to add to the list for them to fix.
Thanks for the advice/input…haven’t heard of those and not sure if I could afford them…will have to look into them and see if I could. Also depends on the ingredients (I am a picky eater too).
