My husband had a shoulder replacement operation last year, and this is the view from his ward..Now it is a year since that operation.
You are looking at Auckland Sky Tower on the left, (which looks like a hypodermic needle)looking down on the helicopter pad for the rescue helicopters…
Very nice view. Beautiful buildings.
Amazing view. Helicopters are rarely used in our country. They say it is too expensive to transport
We use rescue helicopters a lot and often they rescue people at sea as well. We have a charity to raise money for them, they save lives…
Some areas here are so remote, the people will die before they get to hospital if they use a car, so helicopter rescues are essential
The sky tower was among the list of sights in our itinerary but that day we had plans to visit a few friends and so missed it
Thanks Grace, your friends always come first….
Well, I am not sure of the answer to this question, the Helicopter has to go out to remote areas in Auckland where it takes far too long to get to Auckland Hospital
Sometimes other New Zealand hospitals send patients to Auckland hospital because they just don’t have the medical resources..
My first thought was – why put the helicopter pad so far over in one corner – then I spotted that the opposite corner was already occupied!
