I have a friend in Australia. We exchange gifts through the mail each year at Christmas. I am sharing a few of the gifts I have received over the years. The only place I can see kangaroos are in the zoo here in the US. She knows this, so she always tries to find a different “roo” ornament to send me. They are all so cute. I actually found a small tree I can hang all of my special ornaments from Australia on and display them year round. Sharing the joy. Trying my hardest to get in the Christmas spirit. One of those difficult years. I know some of you can relate. Regardless, it is coming so I will make the best out of the situation. Next year will be a better year. I believe.
I love them all. You should take a picture of the whole tree, I found myself wanting to see more!
These are also amazing and coming from a far away friend makes them even more so!
Yes indeed the packages are always so special to receive.
These are great. It is also great to have a real encounter with kangaroos. I was thrilled to death when I fed them right in my own hands. In the sanctuary, they would allow you to scratch them behind their ears or pet their backs for as long as you are offering food. Lol!
I would love to do that! Sounds like fun.
Yep. But before you ever do that, make sure to taste some kangaroo meat first lol! Because after you interact with them personally in any sanctuary, I assure you, you will not touch the roo meat ever again. Hahaha! It tastes damn good.
The tree should be wonderful because the ornaments are something special
Thanks, I have sentimental value with most of the ornaments.
Unique decorations once again, all of them are really cute! It’s a wonderful feeling to receive a gift from a friend who lives abroad.
Thank you Ellie, they are very special.
The kangaroo’s skill is jumping, hopefully with all those cute kangaroos you jump into a new year full of beauty and hope, Carol.
I certainly hope so. I am believing next year will be better for all.
Of course, Carol. I see it that way!
Although it is not a privilege of man alone, friendship is one of the most important things in life. Friendship is a special kind of love. Love that inspires us makes us better, braver, more real. Still, a real friend is hard to find, but when you find him you are convinced that there is no greater wealth than he has!
You are so right Elenka, thank you for your words.
I hope next year will be a better year for you, Carol. I find it hard to see my way through the next week, but it will pass, as other seemingly impossible-to-pass milestones have done.
I wish you the same Norman, it doesn’t get easier, only more tolerable I guess is a good way to say it. My thoughts are with you.
These are great! I love the Australian slant on Christmas. I have a fun book from there, sent to me by its illustrator shortly before she died. I’ll tell you more bout it another time 🙂
My friend in Australia also lost a teen. We have an instant bond.
