WOD – Workout after trail run

I walked into the gym weighing 138 lbs to leave weighing barely 137 lbs, just slightly tipping the scale at 136 lbs. Working the overnight shift 4-times a week has me eating less with most of my priority being sleep.

  • .30 mile incline climb
  • 1.00 mile: sprint increments every .10
  • 30 push ups
  • 60 sit ups

I had fun on the treadmill after doing the elliptical for .70. Once I hopped on I conducted a .30 mile incline climb which I typically add to my regime as speed work in disguise. It is the perfect workout for someone that wants to get the heart racing yet doesn’t want to run, but walk instead.

Barely hit 136 lbs! The last time I weighed that much I was training for my very first marathon in Washington DC, which was the 2007 Marine Corps Marathon. I had a strict diet back then, as I cut out certain meats with a huge fear of it affecting my performance times & health. Now, over a decade later I do not hold back what I eat, but I do put a limit on the amount of fried foods I eat.

After this workout I enjoyed this Chicken Caesar Salad at Mac’s Wood Grilled along with the Florida Gators vs Miami Hurricanes game.
