Every time I go out to whatever business I intend on visiting, I anticipate seeing if it is open because of the pandemic that is going around the world called the coronavirus. It seems that businesses and events are closing down shop or pushing back whatever events they may have going on out of precaution, but the real businesses and events that are for the people are standing their ground. I just saw a tweet this morning about the Milwaukee Marathon being canceled due to the virus. The poster was angry because the event offered a virtual run in replacement instead of pushing the date back. A virtual run is nowhere near like running the actual course. In other words, Milwaukee Marathon just pretty much took everyone’s money and ran with it which is total bullshit. No refund, just a virtual run option and medal mail out upon completion of the virtual run wherever you choose it to be.
Anyway….
As of late I have been incorporating lemon water into my diet, and it has been cutting back my eating habits throughout the day. I am curious how it will fare when I incorporate my abdominal workouts with this newly found diet routine. Since it has been nearly a week since I have worked out, I just had to do something today and the gym was it, due to the weather.
I love reading my book on the stationary bike. Seemingly, I tend to feel the emotions of the writer through what is read which seems hit or miss when I am not on the stationary bike. Typically it’s the first workout I do because my adrenaline is so high near end that my focus is not there to even consider reading anything.
My workout consisted of:
- 8.00 mile stationary bike ride
- 1.00 mile run
- 40 sit ups
- 10 dips
- 10 pull ups
- 10 dips
- 10 pull ups

Isn’t it crazy that it snowed this week? I’ve always heard that the less you eat make ab workouts even better
Since I have added the lemon water diet, I haven’t cramped like I used to while doing ab workouts . Less bloated feel when I am sitting down too.
I’ll be out on either the trail or biking this weekend. Hope to get pictures of downtown Chicago, lol. I hear its blocked off.
Mayor Lightfoot is talking about handing out $500 citations. I just saw it on ABC’s website.
I caught that on my Twitter. I also noticed that they shut that shit down earlier today, lol. The 606 Bloomingdale was congested. I ran in Humboldt Park a few days ago and kept nearing people just out walking in groups. I don’t blame her for shutting it down.
You’d be surprised at the individuals that were out. Not your typical fitness guru’s, just people there because it is something to do rather than being posted up in-house
Good for you and stay safe out there.
The same to you too Carol
love the book Pursuit of Happiness. Listened to it while walking!
I hope Milwaukee does the right thing.
Sorry, I’ve missed some of your posts, your profile is locked and I can’t get to your posts other than the list of new post options!
I love reading it while I workout because I get emotionally in to it in comparison to reading it on downtime. I may look for that option to listen to it too because I will finish the book faster.
Don’t worry about commenting on every single post I put out. I do love the pace I have with it locked, plus I haven’t logged on to see any negativity. With the slower pace, I get the chance to visit other peoples pages more. I could honestly care less about getting virils to get to that payment, I am just happy with putting out my work.
i always feel bad because I can’t get to your posts as often. Thank you for the kind and thoughtful words!
I am not sweating it like some do, hehe. I have a job outside of this
so do I, just like to read your stuff!
I think at some point someone will find enjoyment and get usage out of what I share. I actually put out a lot of advice about working out and getting into running.
One thing that I did not do last year was share my workout plan for the marathon. I had to alter it alot down the stretch due to weather. I’d like to next time share an overview of what I did. Cycling, and stationary bike workouts always carry my training.
I like those posts – as long as we stay away from your sports addictions (Sox and Illini) we are in safe territory!
I don’t do white sox posts, but I sure do the Illinois fighting Illini.
🙂
i have a really good friend that is a professor there. I harass him all the time!
When you harass him is it because the Hoosiers can not hack it against the Illini?
actually i pay him a dollar every time Illinois beats IU in Socceer. Oh and 10 bucks for every NCAA championship in men’s bball.
so basically nothing.
Basically the things that do not matter I see. : )
yeah basketball and baseball are America’s sport. Football, Illinois is in the same boost as IU so it doesn’t matter.
but Soccer is the world’s sport!
I can’t even tell you the name of our professional soccer team in Chicago, lol.
Chicago Fire, I went to a playoff game in Soldier Field. Lots of fun!
I will look into their games. Hell, they are probably cheaper than the football games. Who wants to pay over $100 to see the Bears get their asses kicked.
sadly i would and did. i grew up a bears fan and love them forever. I saw Walter Payton run, it is enough for me!
If anyone wants to build a friendship with me, they can connect with me on my social media pages which are listed.
🙂 white sox fan and Ilinini fan, that is a risky friend right there!
Hahaha. A loyal friend despite both teams letdown seasons.
as my grandfather always said
in Chicago, there is one baseball team, and then the team that cheats! He was a white Sox fan as a small child, but then never again.
I was into them more as a child but as an adult not so much. In the military when I would run into Illinois residents, they would always ask if i were a cubs or white sox fan.
