In 1999, Psychiatrist Dr. Andrew Stoll of Harvard published a report showing that omega-3 fats improve the natural resistance against illness in people with psychosis. Doctor Stol published a book The Omega-3 Connection in 2001, which was one of the first works to focus attention on using omega-3 fats for depression. An entire decade later, additional research supports omega-3 fats in mental health. In a breakthrough report at the International Early Psychosis Conference in Japan, in 2014. If a loved one is battling with any form of mental health or has early signs there could be a problem, omega-3 fat supplements may provide a safe, powerful, form of treatment.
