This was just a little idea I had while I was editing a color picture to make it a black and white version of itself. I wanted to remember it to maybe exploit it later so I made this image. It’s just a little idea and so easy to make it’s nearly automatic. I want to share it as well. Things can be very black and white sometimes if you want that; or, you can peel away that filter and a new vision in full blown living color is right behind it.
And I like the image. It’s slick.

Coming from a very documentary purist photography tradition I’ve always had some unease in the “digital darkroom” ; but, it is so corruptive. I had to share this one because oh my gosh it was so convenient.
