They were there always
Haiku, as learned from a recent challenge by LaJenna, is a specific type of poetry using 5-7-5 syllables. If you are interested in learning to write poetry, this is a great place to start. Very simple. And the more you write, more you want to write. At least that has been my experience.

Took this photo in my backyard of a Chipping Sparrow nest. Beautiful little blue eggs. Cannot wait for the spring to see more of them once again. Photographing nature is so rewarding. 99% of my photos are all from my backyard.
Use what talents you possess. The woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best. ~Henry VanDyke
Thank you for your comment.
I love the photo of the nest, soooo cute! Haiku poetry, now that is a real challenge — I have been trying my hand on it but unsuccessful — too few a words to contain my thought and I guess, it is the discipline of 5-7-5 that is discouraging me a bit — I don’t like thinking when I write — I like to just write and pour my heart out. I am happy for you though. Poetry and lovely photos — perfect combo.
Thanks for your compliments! And I agree about Haiku, it is a learning experience which I am enjoying. Yes i Like to journal as well but sometimes less is more. 🙂
Thank you for sharing your talent in photography with us. Enjoyed your poem. Haiku is an interesting study.
And I thank you for visiting, such a nice compliment.
What a wonderful pic this is…mine being a commercial place I rarely see such natural things nearby my home. It looks you are fond of photography.
Thanks, yes I love nature, this was in my backyard. Nature takes me to another level.

My first and only Haiku…..
I love the photo and the honest simplicity of the Haiku. I hit a block after day 7 of the challenge and am bouncing between 2 unfinished Haiku posts now, one about death, the other about cleaning…
I really enjoyed the challenge. I have a lot of journals written and this is helping me work on finishing them sooner perhaps.
Wonderful haiku…and lovely photograph!
Thank you so much Courtney.
My pleasure, anytime!! 🙂
Very creative! Most types of poetry does not have to have 5-7-5 syllables. Just the Haiku type as far as I know. Your poetry has helped me grow in the field of writing poetry.
Thanks LaJenna, I like to start simple then move up!
Thank you for the compliment.
I’m a fan of haiku insults myself. It is a very elegant way to bag on someone…
Ha there is that humor again Alex. 🙂
I am a deft hand at smack talking
I completely agree with you my friend.
But I’ll be nice to you
This may be contagious. The photo is great.
I agree Elenka, and thank you very much!
You have a very special environment. That Sparrow’s nest with those eggs is a magical beauty. Is it in a low place so you can take its picture from above?
Btw, you have found one more talent, right?
Yes, it was in a blue murray cypress tree that is about 8 feet tall, but low in the tree. That is the only way I found it, was walking around in the yard with my camera and there it was!
…. I have found another talent thanks to you and LaJenna!
You must be very excited when finding it!
Well, I have a talent for getting myself in sticky situations. My husband says I have a talent for losing things. I am really good at crying, do any of those count?
That is for you to decide Trenna.
You are not going to help me with that? I am shocked, lol.
What do you mean Trenna? I believe we all have to find our own talents. Everybody defines talents int heir own way.
nice photo i hope this article i lover her
