The actual title of this piece is Heya no Tsuru, which you shouldn’t need translated. The conceit for this piece is based on the zen belief in sen tsuru, which I will discuss more in a future installment. For now let’s focus on the original and my rework process…

this one is cool but way too dark, which is why I want to rework it...

my program supports instantiation, but all the instances have to use the same texture. it really shouldn't have that limitation but since it does, each and every one of those cranes is a separate model. which sucks...

got rid of everything and just changed all the textures from 3DL to PBR
