Love ItLove It

From My Sketchbook

I didn’t use a reference for this one. I am creating at least one sketch a day for the month of July, and I will probably keep going for August. Maybe I will improve if I sketch every day for a year. I am also watching a lot of video tutorials on youtube. I am learning things all the time.

I want to get some colored pencils, and probably will at the beginning of next month. I want the Color Erase kind. I think they are Prismacolor pencils. I checked on Amazon and they weren’t too expensive, so I will probably buy them. I also want some gray and beige toned paper, but that will have to wait until September.

Although somewhat frustrating because I suck so bad at drawing, I think it is still good for therapy for me.

  1. This is a promising start to begin drawing. Traditional artists learn proportions and anatomy. However, don’t be put off, you are doing very well. A drawing a day will make a huge difference.

  2. If you’re serious about improving, a sketch a day is a great way to go about it. Even at the end of the first month, you’ll see an improvement. At the end of a season, you’ll be even more pleased…
