I recently shot a bunch of chrysanthemums we had at home…. I took them to the window side to get some sunlight that was streaming in – that worked to get strong contrasts of light and shadow. After positioning them strategically (to the available light) next was positioning the camera. Got the shots I wanted! Last was editing – hmmm, I think a monochrome would be good for this shot… What do you think?

I agree… Flowers are meant to be enjoyed in totality, colours and all… This is to gain a different mood should a difference be required… 🙂
