evolution of shadows - WIP

This post will illustrate a typical workflow for my pieces. My general approach is to get the materials sorted, then mess with the camera and light rigs. I also make small fixes or substitutions for each pass

#1 initial render

you can actually see the shadow is already there, it just isn't very defined yet. please disregard the tiles

improved light rig and tile substitution (much needed!)

I wanted warmer shadows for this piece. Actually, warmer all around because it is in a desert so I want a nice golden ambient light

  here it not only ties everything together with a common hue, it also helps blend everything a little

Yes, a hint of sharpness may improve it, but golden light works
