Bird Collage/Painting

This is my painting/collage of bird done with pencil/pen/acrylics and collage paper on canvas. It is a Work in Progress, as I am still working on it. I was going through boxes from the move, and found several paintings from a few years ago, and I will be posting the rest soon.

I haven’t been painting recently, I haven’t “felt like it” for some reason. I think it is because I am working on a specific painting, and I just can’t figure out how to make it work. I just don’t have a feel for it. I might have to scrap it and start over on a brand new painting. I hate doing that though, it makes me feel like a failure. Hopefully it can be saved.

I really like the bird collage, it is one of my favorites, although it’s not done. The flower feels too plain, I want to give it some color. I will post it again when I am finished.
