The forest where Owl and Woodpecker live is just like any other community. It may be like the place where you live. Neighbors help each other, but they also have misunderstandings. The animals in Owl and Woodpecker’s forest took sides: Mouse was for Woodpecker, while Bear defended Owl. But in the end, even if Woodpecker saw Owl as an enemy, Woodpecker saved him.
Jesus teaches in Matthew 5:43-45 “You have heard people say, ‘Love your neighbors and hate your enemies.’ But I tell you to love your enemies and pray for those who mistreat you. Then you will be acting like your Father in heaven. He makes the sun rise on both good and bad people. And he sends rain for the ones who do right and for the ones who do wrong”.
You might find it difficult to follow this teaching just as Woodpecker may have found it hard to save Owl. But when you face the same situation, choose to forgive and show kindness.
