Captured this female cardinal at the bird feeder early this morning. The bright red male will be here soon I am sure. Frost on the ground. But the sun in shining bright. A lot to be thankful for this morning.
The sunflower seeds were all stuck together from being a little damp, then the frost. So I snapped a few photos of the birds, then went out to freshen up the food. Now they are everywhere, cardinals, blue jays, sparrows, all kinds at the table.

Thank you my friend.
Your bird shots are superb Carol, the cardinal is no exception! Thanks for sharing. Regards, Andre’
How kind of you. This was taken from inside. I need to get on the deck when it is not freezing out to get better photos.
We don’t put bird food out. But we have lots of natural providers in the yard. There are seeds galore.
Sunflower seeds are specifically what most birds like.
What a wonderful capture! Right now, there are mostly tits and sparrows here, but once it starts getting colder, even more birds will join them.
Thanks, I loved how the sun was shine on her this morning.
There she is! Great shot, and good morning!
She is a beautiful lady right!
