I captured this wasp on my deck sedum back in my spring garden. I had never heard of a potter wasp until I started reading about them. I have learned so much from all the nature, insects, birds, all the wildlife in my backyard. And I am always amazed.
Scientific facts about this wasp are: Potter wasps (or mason wasps), the Eumeninae, are a wasp group presently treated as a subfamily of Vespidae, but sometimes recognized in the past as a separate family, Eumenidae. Potter Wasps are also beneficial insects that provide natural control of many types of caterpillars and even some beetle larvae.

I’ve never heard or seen this kind of wasp before. I’m unsure whether we get them here in England or not. It does look very cute though. Although, I tend to prefer bees to wasps!
Nt sure if you do or not, it was interesting to research.
Its cool learning new knowledge without having to search for them myself … :p
