I have been talking a lot about digital cameras and cell phone cameras in my technology posts each day. It has to do with the fact that I have been a digital camera fan now for many years. But it also comes with an interesting side conversation I’ve been having with a couple of Virily members. Ellie and Albert have both brought up exceptional points. Notice in the picture, next to the speakers I am working on, is my point and shoot camera ready to go with me. I changed its location in my office so I could grab it and run! I also attached a floating wrist holder since the camera is waterproof, if I drop it in the bay it will sink, except the flotation device will keep it above water.
Many years ago, when the twins were around 13 or so, and getting their first cell phones, one of the twins dropped their cell phone into the lake. It sank like a rock, resulting in two things. One we couldn’t easily retrieve it, and two a giant sigh of relief from me at home when I realized I had bought insurance on the phone!
Hey anyone can join in the fun that is the photo challenge. Point, snap and share!
Great idea for the flotation device and the insurance! By the way Bose is the best. I too used to have a really big set of speakers then I downsized and funny thing. I have the same sound in a lot less speaker.
speakers have improved so much in the last 10 years. The Bose are sitting on my Mac because I am moving them out of my office. I am working on downsizing, slowly!
Technology as a while seems to be downsizing.
It does seem to be moving downward. Plus moving towards automation. Reduce the number of times there has to be human interaction!
🙂
Yes, since we have robots in our near future!
Great idea putting a floater on. Great speakers there, I have the same set.Love Bose. My dad had a huge entertainment center with the big speakers long ago. He called one day and said you have to come over! I said okay and jumped into the car. Pulling up to the house I heard it. The music, the window panels in the house were actually rattling. I thought there was a band inside. lol I walk in and dad has this ear to ear grin, yelling at me as loud as he could, “This is great isn’t it?” Thank you for the memory.
I used to have a huge set of speakers back in the day. I’ve moved to the smaller Sonos systems, less space, same sound!
A flotation device attached to a gadget is perfect! Now that gives me an idea. I guess from now on I will put the same on my waist when crossing seas ????. Day 153 is just WOW!
Personal flotation devices are also very nice. Pixie’s crossing seas though, is a little of a scary thought 🙂
Hahaha! While reading your post, a memory of me and the girls going to Koh Tao Island via boat popped in my mind — we were caught amidst the sea by a sudden storm — drowning is not my top choice of death ??
By all means, a personal flotation device would be critical then.
