Today’s image is from last nights walk. As we started out, it was a little warmer but with the sun falling so did the temperature. You can see in the distance the last rays of the sun as it set in the west. The agreement the boys and I made, for them to get a dog, was that they had to walk the dog every day. Young Labs have lots of energy. If you don’t walk them, you will truly regret it in the evening as you are winding down and the dog is wound up!
We have, over the past four years developed some different walking trails. It is mostly focused on two things, safety and distance. The safety part has to do with the fact that if we walk by the High School (where the boys went), we increase our evening risk of getting hit by a car that isn’t paying attention. There are a couple of roads in our area where people drive like maniacs. Our routes avoid those!
I agree. Bigger dogs do require walking that is why we prefer the small ones because the space inside the house is enough for their romping and playing activities.
