People keep asking me why I am working so hard to own my own business. Why not stay in a stable job with a comfortable salary?
Well, I have my hopes and dreams. I want to be my own boss. I want to be able to create jobs and contribute to my country’s economy. I don’t want to spend my life getting up in the mornings, go to work, slave the whole day to make someone else rich, go home and go to bed. That is a routine. Not a life.
I want to experience things without worrying where my next meal is coming from. I want to walk into a shop and buy that sexy little black dress. I don’t want to first budget if I can afford it. I don’t want to cut life’s pleasures just to survive. Life is a gift that was meant to be enjoyed. I want to experience all that life has to offer.
Here is my top 10 items on my bucket list:
- Becoming a top-selling Author.
- Establish a network of businesses uplifting my community.
- Visit the Louvre in Paris.
- Cocktails in Miami.
- Attend a Rolling Stones Concert.
- Having a glass of Champagne on a Gondola in Venice.

Having goals indeed a start of having a successful life. I like the idea of being yourself as your own boss. That was my thinking upon leaving my previous job. I want to start even with a small business that will soon grow big and I being the boss.

I think the most important thing about sharing a bucket list is to always update it, and let readers know when you reach a goal.
I admire people that can and do take the risk of going on their own. I’ve done it a couple of times in the past, but it is pretty scary. You have to have incredible confidence in yourself!
Thank you for the advise. I already had two failed businesses which was a big learning curve. Hopefully third time is the charm.
