Always looking for something different to share. In the last couple of weeks I have heard the neighborhood ice cream truck slowly making its way up and down the streets.
Usually it arrives in the summer. But with many people at home, business seems to be booming for the “ice cream man”. He drives slowly, with the music playing to alert the children and adults of his presence.
I remember many times standing in line waiting on an ice cream cone. Good memories.
Sharing this one with Kim’s Color Crazy Pastel Challenge.

Do you see a neighborhood ice cream truck in your world?

Yes

No

Only in the summer but rarely in my suburb because most folks go out for ice cream.
I prefer going out but the kids love these trucks.
True that. I think its the concept especially the ice cream tune.
We have them, but they are silent right now. And as a kid, I used my allowance to hit up that truck. I never could decide on an icecream sandwich or a pushup!
I was surprised when I heard this one a few weeks ago but it is a good time with most home for now. I also liked the nutty buddies.
Okay, now. I got one for you. What song played on the one that drove around when you were a kid. I remember the one here. It was the Entertainer and Do your ears hang low. or down. lol
Do Your Ears Hang Low… same one that plays on this one. Too funny, over and over again.
lol, It is a catchy tune right!!
i remember waiting for that truck in the summer, i swear the driver changed the time every day so we had to rush into the house, beg for cash and then run down the street to catch him!!!!!
No doubt, what was all that about. hahaha
oh yeah, mom used to pause and think about it, we danced from foot to foot waiting
I have been known to chase after the truck like a dog chasing a car. 🙂
i remember running in, mom the ice cream truck is here.
what dear?
the ice cream truck.
what about the ice cream truck dear?
and by the time i got her to actually listen, it was long gone.
Such fun memories we all have.
mom only actually gave us money 1 out of 5 times, I realized that when I was older, doing the same thing to my kids!
No, we don´t have the ice cream truck in Spain. But I have seen it in many American movies. We have another kind of way to sell ice cream in the street.
I have seen some carts that have like an ice cooler behind them. Whatever, as long as you get your ice cream.
I love the colors of the icecrem truck. Brings plesant memories to my mind.
Right now we have nothing being sold on our streets due to the lockdown. We used to have trucks with plants, containers and veggies come here everyday before Covid 19.
The colors are what attracts the kids usually and the music they play very loud! I am not downtown, so we can have little things like this. And we are opening up gradually in our state now.
We don’t have them here out in the country but your post and photo sure does bring back good old memories!
I am glad you have memories, same here.
That’s such a cute truck! We don’t have them here.
They are all different and very unique. And the loud music they play over and over, the same song, gets the kids every time.
That is one truck you cannot miss. I remember in my childhood Good Humor trucks drove around.
I have seen some with really wild graffiti before and bright colors that really stand out.
The truck is in beautiful color. They don’t drive home ice cream in our country.
I thought it was cool colors as well. They are all a little different.
Great idea, dear Carol …. we don’t have such trucks selling ice cream
I remember these even in my childhood, during the summer.
There are no such ice cream trucks here. This one is very beautiful in this pink color.
They are each one painted differently as they are usually independently owned.
Hmm, Nice and wondering post!!!
Thank you for your comment.
I wonder if the “ice cream man” conduct how buyers should queue?
In my place, ice cream man uses a motorcycle with a big box behind him.
Right now they are practicing social distancing of six feet apart.
