21. Philophobia
This is fear of love. Some people are afraid to fall in love or love someone. Makes their heart beat like hell when they think about falling in love.
22. Genuphobia
The fear of knees. I think when they bathe they don’t look at their knees, and i don’t think they would want to wear shorts.
23. Glossophobia
It took me courage to teach in front of class, the first time I began the job. But talk about speaking in front of a mass of people, I would sure want the earth to open and swallow me. Yah, the fear of speaking in public.
24. Lockiophobia
Do you know there are women who fear getting pregnant? Yah, and no matter how much their hubbies try, they offer defensive mechanisms so that they don’t get pregnant because of carrying it and ultimately, the most feared one, giving birth.
This is the fear of childbirth.
25. Gamophobia
Some people fear the prospect of getting married. Where are the introverts? They can’t digest the idea of living with someone for the rest of their lives. At least some of them are not afraid of marriages. Reports of marriage failures, fights and deaths are some reasons that make some to fear being married.
People have really weird fears. I don’t understand that anyone is afraid of love.
Although there are legitimate causes, there are those who fear because of what they heard or read.
Lock it up. Keep a lock on that chastity belt with lockiophobia.
Hahaha…well that’s an alternative to not wanting to get pregnant.
I had this huge fear of public speaking, Yes Glossophobia, I overcame it and now I do talk for hours.
It’s good you conquered the fear. I can speak in front of people but not looking at their faces. Just glancing and looking at space.
I understood one thing about looking at peoples faces, They are more afraid of you than you of them, especially if you look like you are going to as them a question. 😀
That made me smile. I have never noticed that. You’re right that the people you speak to are afraid you might ask them a question so they make fewer eye contact.
My high school English teacher used to say that we should pay attention by looking at her because she won’t bite any when we look at her.
Very interesting. Thanks for publishing this.
Thank you. Those are strange phobias for you.
what if the fear of knees was combined with the fear of people looking at your feet? I am really enjoying this series!
I would close my eyes willing not to open and seeing people looking at my knees and feet. Or, would rush out or run away from them as fast as possible.
perhaps then that is how you will know true love. When the person can look at your feet and you do not feel fear!
I agree. It will require a lot of effort to do so.
or you will meet someone and not be afraid when they look down!
Exactly, that is highly the case. And that way, the fear will evaporate in an instant.
Those are the kind of phobias that can make you miss most of your life and the good things.
True, they can make living unbearable.
We are all different people. This is the reason I’m not surprised that there are many phobias.
That is true. Each of us has our own feats and maybe some don’t have.
Love reading these. How sad to be afraid of love.
It is very sad since love is a positive emotion or force.
Very interesting fears once again. People can be such an enigma sometimes.
You are right. The little things can make people creep out of their skin.
