This plant is known by various names the common being – sensitive plant, action plant, dormilones, touch-me-not, shame plant, zombie plant, or shy plant. It is a perennial flowering plant which shies away when touched, the leaves fold inward and remain like that for a short while before it springs back to its normal position.
The tiny flowers in pale pale pink look delicately pretty. The plant itself has thorns and you need to be careful while handling it. It is a weed in the tropical climates. Sensitive people who hate being touched to those who cannot take criticism are often referred to as touch me nots.
