Yes there are alternative spellings. In news, we usually see Quran spelled as Koran. Similarly Mecca can be used as common noun like mecca for shoppers or place is like a mecca for tourists but Makkah can mean only one place, that’s the city in Saudi Arabia. But point taken. Thanks for trying out the quiz.
