Oh dear, I did embarrassingly badly with this. Your Leeds Castle question was a bit mean though!
Not really – it is very well-known castle near Leeds in Kent. I believe that there is another place called Leeds up north somewhere?
Yeah, rumour has it 😉
well sadly my travels of the UK limited me to knowing where 4 things were. THe other six not so much.
Loved this quiz. I have no idea about any shires but I used my memory because I have heard of some of these places and got 7 right,
Well done – a very good result!
Just could not handle it (lol) Talking of England our London tour was a fiasco. It was the week end and most of what we wanted to see was not open (sad)
That is interesting. Most London “sights” are open throughout the week, especially during the summer months. Apart from that, there is a huge amount one can see that is free and open all the time, due to not being inside a building.
We did a bit of this and that but could not see the Buckingham Palace. I so wanted to shop at Harrods. My friend back home had told me about the great rest room this shop had for which one had to pay to visit (lol)
Tours of Buck House only happen in August and September – when the Queen is usually resident at Balmoral. Harrods has been undergoing refurbishment work this year, although it is otherwise open for business.
We were there third week of May. I celebrated my birthday in Belgium – the next stop from London taking the Euro Star
All guesses since I know nothing obviously. Good quiz.
I don’t know England well at all.. good quiz
Great quiz … obviously I know England very well … I have 8 correct ones
That’s an excellent score – well done!
