  4. Just could not handle it (lol) Talking of England our London tour was a fiasco. It was the week end and most of what we wanted to see was not open (sad)

    • That is interesting. Most London “sights” are open throughout the week, especially during the summer months. Apart from that, there is a huge amount one can see that is free and open all the time, due to not being inside a building.

      • We did a bit of this and that but could not see the Buckingham Palace. I so wanted to shop at Harrods. My friend back home had told me about the great rest room this shop had for which one had to pay to visit (lol)

        • Tours of Buck House only happen in August and September – when the Queen is usually resident at Balmoral. Harrods has been undergoing refurbishment work this year, although it is otherwise open for business.
