  1. I got 11 out of 17, which I’m not too unhappy with! Lots of good info here. More like this please!

[PS #7: the verb in the first sentence should be ‘is’, as the subject is singular (‘one’) although this is a common error among native speakers, due to the adjacency of the plural noun (‘mines’) to the verb in the sentence.]

    • Thanks Norman. I am glad you enjoyed the quiz. If you enjoy traveling, Google the words Shandur Polo Festival, Ansoo Jheel and Lake Saif ul Malook. Amazingly beautiful places.

And thank you for pointing out the error. I sometimes feel I am not as careful with my English while making quizzes as I am while writing articles. But I hate badly presented stuff so I will be more careful in future, iA. If you find any errors, do point them out. We can all learn from our mistakes.

      • I agree about us all learning from our mistakes. That applies to me too! I coined the phrase, “The only real mistake is the one you don’t learn from” 🙂

I remember well the vivid descriptions I read long ago about the polo in Gilgit, when I first found the travel writings of Irish writer Dervla Murphy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dervla_Murphy

I’m right now enjoying the views of those high altitude lakes! You seem to know what I enjoy – thank you 🙂
