Any company dealing with colours tends to be quite creative in their naming, and Crayon manufacturers are no exception. In 2009, Crayola released eight crayons in long twistable barrels, called Extreme Twistables. See if you can match colour name to colour below!

interesting writings love it!!!!! # crayola
got 3 out of 8 right!
Three out of eight on this quiz.
I got 4 out of 8
I guess I need to color more often lol
Me too! I didn’t know most of these either 🙂
I got 3 out of 8 correct…fun quiz! I thought I would know the colors better than I did but still had fun!
I suspect you do know the colours, Mom – you just don’t know their odd and weird names for them!
That’s what I meant, lol 🙂
Very unique quiz! 4/8
2 out of 8 right! Woohoo 🙂
That was the tough one. 😀 Difference is in shades so I gained solid 6 out of 8. 😀
Well that’s just amazing! Well done, Zaklina 🙂
My daughter, who is a fashion designer, would be ashamed of me 😀
Ashamed of you? I very much doubt that 😀
I can see her face, like “whaaat?” 😀
Quite a twisty quiz. ;- ) Enjoyed seeing the colors for the Twistables. Lost power so not sure but think score was about half and half.
Very twisty! Someone was paid to think up those names 🙂
You got 5 out of 8 right!
Great – You’re a Crayola-master in the making!
Well done, Elenka – and thank you for trying this silly quiz 🙂
You got 5 out of 8 right!

Maybe they’re just weirder than me
If that’s even possible 😉
Well here is what I have to say! They need someone else to name their colors. @Kim_Johnson knows everything and she only got one right. Let’s write a letter.
I agree! The names are just weird! Some are just odd but others are completely counter-intuitive.
I agree with you both! Some of them are downright weird. I double checked and they all seem to be correct. Oh well, it would be no fun if they were called brown, orange, green, pink, purple etc. There’d be no quiz here, at any rate 🙂 Thanks for taking the quiz, folks!
lol, thank you Trenna, you made me giggle.
That was fun though I did poorly! 🙂
Probably not as poorly as I would have done if I hadn’t made the quiz myself, Carol ?
I think they chose a colorblind person to name the twistables. lol I got one right.
I agree, Kim. A couple of them are quite bizarre!
Congratulations on knowing everything, by the way 😉 (in reference to Trenna’s comment up the page)
I know they didnt want to use the color names of the crayons but this is stretching it a bit. Too confusing for little ones.
Well I was just discussing this with my youngest (Sam, 15) who remembers using them. he says he never once looked at the names on the crayons, so maybe it’s all just an irrelevance 🙂
