Wilderness…

When I am asked what beautiful can be seen on the island of Lanzarote where I was last year, I answer –  black rocks and gravel. Because if there is no dream in the eyes of the viewer, you will certainly not find anything else here. Neither palm groves nor ancient palaces. No snowy “montblanc” or “niagara falls”.

Here is just a mirror where you will see your reflection. Last year, I spent a week here (sadly, only one). I wandered through empty fields of lava and went where there was no road. I listened to the wind and got washed in the rain. I felt wonderful. Indeed, it is a mirror. Only if you do not try to hide, you can see the edge of your own soul in this wild nature.
