They came stomping in the house. Clearly there was some kind of disagreement. Children and adults were simply taking off their coats and throwing them down and speaking very loudly in a tone that I didn’t appreciate.
“Hey, we need to adjust. Can you settle down in here or do you have to go back outside and try again?” It was about ½ and ½. Some went right back out and others stayed. I didn’t say anything else I just went back to writing in my notebook. Finally the youngest one said, “Don’t you want to know what happened?’
“If you can tell me in a nice voice and be calm and really want me to know that would be fine. If you would rather I don’t know that would be fine.”
“I don’t think, you think it would be fine if you knew.”
“What?”
“I don’t think you would like knowing why we are, well, not very happy.”
“Oh, well it’s not really about me. You were over there with other adults. I wasn’t in charge, Remember I had to come home. Would you feel better if you told me?”
“No, I would feel awful.”
I said “Okay then,” and went back to my writing.
He then turned his volume up to a yell and said, “Well someone has to tell you.”

I will go and read what happened.
Sometimes it is hard to be the person who has to solve the problems.
Well I wrote what happened on another post. I am kind of glad I missed it.
I will have to check it out, I missed it somehow.
It depends on your desire. If you finish it, we will read it.
I did write the follow up – three people didn’t want me to, so I wrote it separately so they would have to read it.
I think it would be interesting if you could tell us
I wrote it in another post, The rest of story – you can read it there. And thanks.
Thank you ghost , let mew read
Well, it has to depend if you want to tell us, for sure I’ll be interested
I wrote it in another post, The rest of story – you can read it there. And thanks.
Think I have heard this happen before in a similar situation…..Mothers are often good counsellors..
I wish I were good at it. I fall short many times.
