It’s about one and a half hours due north of New York City by either car or MetroNorth train from Grand Central Station and over the past decade, the town has gone from sleepy working-class community to a popular weekend getaway. Beacon’s Main Street thoroughfare has farm-to-table restaurants, world-class art, and even a Doctor Who-themed café, all within a leisurely afternoon’s walking distance.
