It has been about a week, give or take, since I wrote in the #weatherchallenge, so time to catch up. I’m including a few pictures from various places in Montana, for your viewing pleasure.
Lately, our weather has been pleasantly mild. Yesterday, it even got up to almost 60°. The nights have been cold and frosty, but there hasn’t been additional snow around here, thank God. A few of the higher passes still have plenty of snow to contend with.
Our forecast is for a high today of 42° and a low tonight of 23°. It will be mostly cloudy today, though. The current temperature is 31° with a 7 mph wind, so the wind chill is 25°. This is all extremely close to the average for this date. The average high for November 11 is 47° and the average low is 28°. We are well off the pace for setting any records, too. The record high for today was set in 2014 and was 63°. The record low was 0° set in 2003.
The roads are in good shape, though there is snow on some roads in the state. The dew point is 28° at the moment, so there are likely to be pockets of frost here and there. There is generally more snow the farther east of here that a person goes, and of course, there is a lot of snow in the mountains, where we need it.
The weather service is predicting our next solid chance of snow and rain to occur on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. It sounds like the Northeast US is currently getting or about to get snow, though.

With us, in Serbia, the month of October was warm, slightly above average.
November is very volatile for these 6 days.
It has been raining all day today and yesterday the sun was warming and shining like in the middle of summer.
I’m just grateful that we’ve had a pause in the snow. It won’t last, but I’m sure enjoying warmer weather.
We have had frosty nights, in the 20s but 50s and 60s during the day for now.
That’s warmer during the day than we’ve been getting, though yesterday was warm.
