not ever for Godot
in the moments ticking away
we prepared for the sound
of chimes
and letting the sand slip
through our fingers
we grabbed
the buster of dust
to clean and prevent the
the explosion that would happen
when the lights shattered
the darkness and then
the siren would
blare into the darkness
who left this sand here
and then echoing
we slide away
waiting
(not ever for Godot).

As children, we had a vivid imagination. We were never bored.
bored is a word I learned as an adult.

i refuse to let my kids be consumed by computers. We still play family games!
Letting our imaginations run made for good times for sure.
i think it is harder for kids today, there is so much they can just view now.
Nothing is ever the same any more.
that is really true – i guess each generation has its cross to bear.
As children we had different games, but we had a great time.
we did, imagination was more important then i think
