Venice is known by different names – “Queen of the Adriatic”, “City of Water”, “City of Masks”, “City of Bridges”, “The Floating City”, and “City of Canals” but strangely I did not see any name such as “City of pigeons”
This post is about St. Marks Square where as a tourist I got to see a spectacle of pigeons hundreds of them flying around perching on shoulders of tourists and even eating off their hands. I too had those pigeons all over me and I had the joy of feeding them. We have to buy that feed just in case you want to know
St Marks Square is a place where one can spend hours just not with the pigeons but also listening to soothing music that is played round the clock.
If you are visiting Venice do not miss this place.

I would love to see Venice. I have seen those pigeons in the movies.
Venice is in my immediate vicinity …. I have a little 200 km or 2 hours of driving … sometimes we went to Venice for coffee
I liked those water buses something new for me. We were also taken to a glass factory They showed us how they are made
This city is really special, dear friend…..You were driving a gondola?
I did not take the gondola as I found the water dirty
Have not been but would have to pass right now. I do not feel safe traveling in that area but hopefully one day.
We did that tour years ago and enjoyed every bit of it.
Yeah , In childhood i have fed many pigeons
Yes, I knew about the pigeons. I’d like to see Italy; but it’s not first on my list.
I didn’t know about pigeons. I want to visit Italy but it is not one of my first wishes.
I do not know about it now but when we went we got to see those pigeons
