We had it slightly differently. We had dry fruits, oranges and bananas added in there. There were also steamed cones.
Christmas at our house was special as it was father’s birthday. There was so much food that we just did not know how to finish off that plate that each of us got.
And all this despite having no money. Father just wanted to keep his kids happy and told mother to forget about other days but to see that Christmas was celebrated in grand style. I still do not know how mother managed to pull on the full month without money Mother was special. And manage she did.

I have a great mom and I’m glad she’s still alive, dear friend
Happy to hear that. We lost ours a few years ago.
I had a wonderful mother who used to do little miracles
Mothers and miracles go hand in hand!
Having loving and caring parents is something sometimes we take for granted, but it’s actually a very special thing.
She was so involved and took interest in whatever was required to be done.
My mom wasn’t a great cook but she was an award winning teacher who graduated and got a few other degrees after the age of 40. I always think of her as an amazing woman. She was born to teach.
We are proud of our mothers and rightly so I never suffered money shortage but my Mom did and I marvel how she managed so efficiently.
My mom was great at making things seem that there were no problems whatsoever.
They are smart and what I call they have native intelligence.
