It could have been shattering glass
or perhaps instead
a heartbreaking.
What sound does a heart make
leaping from your chest
to fall to the ground
and hitting on the corner
to shatter
and throw plaintive cries
into the world.
As the laugher echos
the sound of keyboards
clacking
the pieces of the heart
falling useless to the ground
as we scramble to grab the pieces
to put the puzzle together again.

Right now, I’m really trapped in the moment, dear friend … I have a limited amount of movement that I have never experienced in my life
i think all of us are my friend. we are in a world where everyone moves, and suddenly moving is the wrong thing to do
It’s really unfortunate that we were hit by the same fate … it’s even worse than war … in war you know the enemy here but you don’t know where you are waiting
what a brilliant way to put that pal. I love it, you are so right!
Let’s hope for the best and quickly eradicate this annoying virus
In some situations, we cannot influence our lives.
that is so very very true!
This one hit home of course. I know how a shattered heart sounds. From the inside.
it is painful, hurts for a long time. hopefully, i didn’t dredge up bad memories.
No you didn’t, they are always at the surface. Good job by the way.
it is actually sadly, a new poem that I wrote this week. I lost a friend due to their actions and it really hurt.
“Don’t be a prisoner of the moment” – I love this!
i have worked on that for many years.
i fail
but I keep trying!
