We have around 5 million hairs all over our body and add to that 10000 hairs on our head. According to facts our hair on head grows at the rate of 1 cm per month but I feel it grows more rapidly on some heads.
There is another fact about hair growth- hair grows faster during day time than night and a little more during summers compared to what it grows during winters.
The fact that one human hair is strong enough to hold up to 100 gm of weight may sound strange but due to keratin fiber that is possible.
We might not notice it, but we all lose at least 30 to 200 hairs per day. But it doesn’t mean that your hair lose is according to number of hair on your head.
But the reassuring fact is that our hair is replaced by new hair otherwise the chances were we would have gone bald in less than 2-3 years.

Very interesting information. I didn’t know that about hair. However, I noticed that my hair grows faster in the summer.
Yes, I have also found out that great stress can cause hair loss. As you age your hair thins, I have found some solutions to thinking hair from the hairdresser and what she told me, really works.
I am one of those people who struggle with fast growing hair. It meant that I need to spend more on haircuts at the salon. Finally I learned to cut my own hair. 😀
It’s good that you learned how to cut your hair. I think it’s really saving, not only money, but time and hassle, to cut our own hair, as we don’t need to go out to saloon and cut the hair. 😛
The cost of hair cut is too high here so I try to do it myself but always end up with a bad cut so use a #1 comb to make it almost baldy ;(
I did know our hair grows fast in the summer. Interesting!
nice, your story was a little hairy, but I liked it!
I know most people don’t like hairy stories but I am gonna be a bit more active on this site so maybe I will make up for my absence.
i hope so! The more active folks we get the faster the sites grow!
