This is small bush and a relative of the poinsettia. It blooms around Christmas time. These blooms have a lovely mild smell. It doesn’t take too well to pruning and if not pruned it could have long straggly branches that look very messy.
I wait every year for the flowers to bloom . It happens usually when the nights get longer and the temperatures drop . This plant often fails to bloom when there is no significant difference in temperature between day and night.
When the bush is in blooms the leaves seem nonexistent. The flowers drop their petal overnight and these look like snow flakes, hence it name.

Nice flower and I am not sure if I have seen this flower or not
The mild, almost gardenia like perfume is so lovely.
Beautiful plant. I have never seen her in our country.
I guess it thrives only in warm climates Vidocka.
Grace, I have a collection of plants that I love. If I had more space I would have a botanical garden. But then life is such. LOL
The flowers are very pretty, dear Dawn … I don’t know if that grows in us
I think this is a tropical bush. I am not too sure though.
If it’s tropical then it certainly doesn’t grow with us … maybe in a botanical garden
I did not see this plant before but thanks for giving me some knowledge.
I press the follow button
Thank you Nabi, I love plants so many of my post are about plants.
I have seen it some where but but not remembered
Glad that you have seen it. The plant remains unnoticed and like any average plant when it is not in bloom.
I love that plant. I shall have to see about getting one of these for my garden.
That would be nice CoffeeQueen, I love the mild fragrance of this bush.
The plant has beautiful flowers. I do not know for sure this plant is in my area.
It is a tropical bush so it could be there in your country.
Hmmm… I need to investigate further.
You seem to have a miniature Garden of Eden.
I have not seen this flower but I have something called euphorbia which has orange flowers and the plant has many thorns.
I have had this plant too, I think they also call it crown of thorns.
That is right Ellie925. Those plants come a so many different colors.
That is the euphorbia Mili the crown of thorns Grace. Euphorbia is the family name , pretty generic.
