I was out looking at flowers and trees in my yard. I noticed while low to the ground looking at petals, the top of my smoke tree looked great reaching for the sky. A beautiful blue sky. I will post more of the smoke bush later. It is an evergreen bush that comes back every year. It has the coolest blooms. It is grown as a large shrub or small tree, the plant offers oval leaves in shades of rich purple, gold, or green through the gardening season. The birds often build nests in this one. Cool because it is right outside my front window.
Have a great day everyone. Have errands to run but will be back shortly.

It appears I’m reading these posts in reverse order. Now I’ll have to go find the the one where you talk about the blooms.
I am with Branka, I can’t wait to see the flowers..
I posted about them yesterday, they are unusual for sure.
Thanks, I love this tree as it matures.
What happens when your smoke tree is planted near a pond, smoke on the water?
Ha! Now I can’t get that song out of my mind. 🙂
it is, as my twins call it, an ear worm!
That is funny, a new one for me. 🙂
I have yes! This tree gave me some trouble when trying to find the desert version. This kept on coming up in the search, but an old timer told me the name of the desert one. Love this shot!
Thanks Kim, I will post a full shot, this was just a moment I thought was nice since we have had so much rain lately. Finally a blue sky but hot temperatures. Always something. 🙂
I haven’t heard of them….but very nice photograph!
I will post more of the tree later Courtney, thanks! 🙂
I had to look that one up too. Don’t believe I have ever seen that kind of tree before and was surprised to learn it is in the cashew family.
I will post more about it soon Ann.
Awesome angle, Carol! With some help from google, I know what it’s called here.
Thanks! Oh good for you! You are ahead of me. I have not had time to fo another post about it but I will.
I can hardly wait to see the flower of this tree
I will post it soon, not really a bloom.
