After the rain shower this morning, the sun came out for a few minutes. I took advantage of the sun and grabbed my camera, off to the garden I went.
The smoke bush is starting to leaf out and I caught some rain drops. You can see a few of the leaves curled up. The frost got those a few days ago. But the bush should be fine. Lots of burgundy all over so far.
Always excited to see this one start leafing and blooming soon. More of the little things to enjoy.

The droplets look great on these dark leaves.
I like these different colored leaves. The drops shine like pearls.
Thanks, I love photographing raindrops.
Wow, that is really beautiful. It’s loved all the rain. It almost glows doesn’t it.
You know, it resembles an avocado tree.
Thanks Kim, I would love to have an avocado tree. I love seeing the raindrops on leaves.
what a great picture, where is this plant in Dustin’s Garden? is it near the house?
Thanks, this one is in the front garden, beside the mini spruce where the thrashers eggs were. Close to the from porch.
*Front* porch and garden with the tulips and azalea bush.
got it mental map updated! thanks!
You are right. These little things make our day, sometimes, on more days than one…lol….especially in these times with this virus around every corner.
Thanks, I always live by the little things. Many go unnoticed to others. We must slow down and take them in. Good to see you.
Yes, it is also good to try to see the little things as still being a part of the bigger things too, at times.
All is connected in one huge jigsaw puzzle, I think.
These are such gorgeous leaves!
Thank you, I really like this shrub. It is low maintenance as well.
We are still waiting for rain. We already have a real drought.
I wish I could send you some of your rain.
