Serious Reflections

I didn’t sleep at all last night. I stayed up and tried to understand what happened and why it happens and wonder if it will happen to someone else I know, love and care about.

People need to be heard and seen. We don’t know their real story. Most people don’t reveal the trama in their life. They often express it in different ways. Sometimes it’s anger, often it’s sadness and sometimes you see them as emotionally needy.

Any time I read something that says my friend, I now wonder if it was them who had the horrible experience and they are afraid to share it as their own. I keep finding over and over in my work that people are afraid to let others know what really has happened in their life and they fear being judged.

Self-worth often doesn’t come from within. It is simply a reflection of how they perceive others treat them.

I never like to leave a post without comments. People need to be seen and heard.

  1. Many years ago, when the internet was a baby, I started a group for teachers. The goal of the group was to help teachers through the depression that often strikes those in the profession. It was also intended to create a safe place to share and talk about ideas.

We were voted by three different groups one of the friendliest listservs on the internet.

People used to love our forums, because people would listen and then comment on what they said.
