People suffering from depression should confide in relatives, friends and doctors more frequently. This way, they can feel better. Also, as far as recovery is concerned, depressed people today are much more likely to seek help.
It was different until a few years ago. This is a very positive development, considering the fact that by the end of last year, it was estimated that there were just about 350 million affected people worldwide.

Life can throw curveballs for sure.
Depression is very common in US and EU country and this is the prime reason also for suicide.
Not sure about the prime reason, but it happens.
Very useful text. I think doctors and meds and close people are the best for depression. I think also people who has a lot of friends are not depressed.

Depression can be caused by many things, including a chemical imbalance in the brain. This means that there is no simple single cure.
Likewise, the response that friends and relatives give can make a huge difference to the outcome. Many people will give stupid responses such as “Snap out of it” or “Pull yourself together”, which will do no good at all. Not everyone is a good listener, and it takes training to be a listening expert.
I was a Samaritans volunteer in my youth, so I know what I’m talking about!
Sometimes I feel a little bit blue but never depressed.
Life is full of moment when we feel depressed, but i’m not a fan of thinking people should continue to live in a state of mind just because they find themselves in that position for a bit of time
