Remedy for Depression

People suffering from depression should confide in relatives, friends and doctors more frequently. This way, they can feel better. Also, as far as recovery is concerned, depressed people today are much more likely to seek help.

It was different until a few years ago. This is a very positive development, considering the fact that by the end of last year, it was estimated that there were just about 350 million affected people worldwide.

  1. Depression can be caused by many things, including a chemical imbalance in the brain. This means that there is no simple single cure.

    Likewise, the response that friends and relatives give can make a huge difference to the outcome. Many people will give stupid responses such as “Snap out of it” or “Pull yourself together”, which will do no good at all. Not everyone is a good listener, and it takes training to be a listening expert.

    I was a Samaritans volunteer in my youth, so I know what I’m talking about!

  2. Life is full of moment when we feel depressed, but i’m not a fan of thinking people should continue to live in a state of mind just because they find themselves in that position for a bit of time
